SayPro Week 1 (01-01-2025 to 01-07-2025): Finalize Technical Platform Setup and Ensure It Supports Challenge Submissions
In Week 1, alongside finalizing the event format, budget, and content creation, it’s crucial to ensure the technical platform that will host the GoQuest Challenge is set up and ready to support challenge submissions. This includes finalizing the platform’s infrastructure, ensuring the submission process is seamless, and setting up necessary technical features to support a smooth user experience.
Goal for Week 1:
- Finalize the technical platform that will host the GoQuest Challenge, ensuring it can handle individual and team-based submissions, track progress, and facilitate engagement.
- Ensure that the platform is ready to support both content creation and challenge submissions, with functionalities for users to interact, submit answers, and view results.
Key Tasks for Week 1:
1. Platform Selection and Setup
- Objective: Finalize the choice of the platform (whether custom-built or third-party solution) and set it up to support the challenge format and submission process.
- Tasks:
- Confirm Platform Selection: Verify the platform’s ability to handle various types of challenges (quizzes, interactive tasks, puzzles, etc.), either by using an existing solution or customizing one for the GoQuest Challenge.
- Configure User Accounts and Access: Set up user registration, account creation, and login systems. Ensure participants can easily access their dashboards to track progress and submit challenges.
- Prepare Team Management Features: If team-based activities are part of the event, set up features that allow teams to register, collaborate, and submit group results.
- Ensure Mobile Accessibility: Verify that the platform is responsive, optimized for mobile devices, and accessible on both desktop and mobile for easy access by all participants.
- Deliverables for Week 1:
- Platform confirmed and setup with all essential user features enabled (registration, login, user dashboard).
- Team management and mobile optimization completed.
2. Challenge Submission and Tracking System
- Objective: Develop and finalize the system for participants to submit their challenges and track their progress throughout the event.
- Tasks:
- Create Submission Mechanisms: Implement submission forms or tools for each challenge (e.g., quiz answers, puzzle solutions, uploaded files for creative tasks). Ensure that the system can track individual and team submissions.
- Design Progress Tracking: Set up a way for participants to monitor their progress (e.g., a progress bar, leaderboard, or task list showing completed/in-progress submissions).
- Enable Automatic Feedback (if possible): Implement automatic feedback or scoring (for trivia, quizzes, or automated challenges), providing instant results to participants.
- Manage Data Collection: Ensure that the platform can securely collect and store data, including user submissions, scores, and any other relevant metrics.
- Deliverables for Week 1:
- Submission forms or tools created and linked to the relevant challenges.
- Progress tracking system in place for both individual and team activities.
- Data collection infrastructure for submission monitoring.
3. Test Platform Functionalities
- Objective: Test the platform to ensure all technical aspects are functioning properly, including challenge submissions, team management, and progress tracking.
- Tasks:
- Conduct Internal Testing: Perform thorough testing of each platform feature, including registration, submission forms, mobile responsiveness, and progress tracking. Ensure all interactions work as expected.
- Test Load Handling: Simulate the expected user load (number of participants) to ensure the platform can handle the traffic, especially during submission periods.
- Check Submissions: Verify that all types of submissions (written, multimedia, etc.) are properly handled by the platform, ensuring the correct file formats are accepted and processed.
- Identify and Fix Issues: During testing, identify potential issues (e.g., broken links, submission errors, slow load times) and resolve them before the event begins.
- Deliverables for Week 1:
- Internal testing report, documenting functionality and any issues found.
- Issue resolution plan for any bugs or errors encountered.
4. User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design
- Objective: Ensure that the platform is intuitive and user-friendly, creating a smooth experience for participants to interact with the event.
- Tasks:
- Design User-Friendly Interface: Ensure that the platform’s interface is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. This includes clear buttons for accessing challenges, submitting answers, and checking progress.
- Ensure Clear Instructions: Provide users with step-by-step guidance on how to participate in the challenges and submit answers. This can be done via tooltips, FAQs, or tutorial videos.
- Visual Design & Branding: Ensure the platform aligns with the GoQuest Challenge’s branding and style, maintaining consistency with the event’s theme and making the interface visually appealing.
- Deliverables for Week 1:
- Finalized UI/UX design that is user-friendly and engaging.
- Clear instructions implemented for challenge participation and submission.
5. Security and Data Privacy
- Objective: Ensure that the platform complies with necessary security protocols to protect user data and prevent any vulnerabilities in the system.
- Tasks:
- Data Encryption and Protection: Implement secure data storage and encryption practices to protect user data, especially for account credentials and challenge submissions.
- Compliance with Legal Standards: Ensure the platform complies with any relevant legal standards for data privacy (e.g., GDPR) and that participants’ personal information is protected.
- User Authentication: Implement secure authentication systems (e.g., two-factor authentication) to prevent unauthorized access to accounts.
- Deliverables for Week 1:
- Data protection protocols established and verified.
- User authentication systems set up.
Week 1 Deliverables Recap:
- Technical Platform Setup:
- Platform selected, set up, and configured for participant registration, team management, and mobile access.
- Challenge Submission and Tracking:
- Submission systems created for individual and team challenges.
- Progress tracking features implemented.
- Testing & Debugging:
- Internal testing completed and issues identified and resolved.
- Platform scalability tested under expected user load.
- UI/UX Design Finalization:
- User-friendly interface created with clear instructions and a visually appealing design.
- Security & Data Privacy:

Next Steps (for Week 2):
- User Testing: Conduct external testing with a small group of users to simulate real-world participation and gather feedback on the platform’s functionality and usability.
- Content Integration: Begin integrating finalized content (individual and team challenges) into the platform for testing and final deployment.
By the end of Week 1, the technical platform will be fully set up and ready to host the GoQuest Challenge, including submission systems, progress tracking, UI/UX design, and security measures. This will provide a seamless and secure experience for participants as they engage with the challenges in the event.
