Role Description: Sponsorship Activation Manager

As the SayPro Sponsorship Activation Manager, the individual is responsible for leading all sponsor activation activities and ensuring full alignment with the SayPro Festival’s strategic goals and brand values. This role is crucial in translating sponsorship agreements into impactful, visible, and value-generating experiences for both sponsors and festival attendees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement detailed activation strategies for each sponsor, aligned with their unique objectives and the festival’s overarching themes and values.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact between sponsors and internal festival departments (e.g., marketing, production, operations) to facilitate seamless integration of sponsor activities.
  • Brand Integration: Ensure sponsor branding is consistently and tastefully integrated across all relevant festival touchpoints—on-site, digital, and print.
  • Experience Delivery: Oversee on-ground sponsor activations such as branded zones, product showcases, VIP experiences, and interactive booths, ensuring they deliver maximum impact and audience engagement.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track activation performance using KPIs such as audience reach, engagement levels, and sponsor satisfaction. Prepare activation reports and recommend improvements.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all activations comply with contractual agreements, festival standards, safety regulations, and branding guidelines.

SayPro Monthly Sponsorship Activation – May 2025 Activities

Objective: To implement and optimize all sponsor-related activities and promotions in accordance with agreements, and to enhance the overall festival experience while ensuring maximum sponsor visibility and engagement.

Key Activities Implemented in May:

  1. Activation Planning Workshops:
    • Conducted strategic planning sessions with 18 confirmed sponsors to finalize activation concepts and deliverables.
    • Developed individual activation timelines and asset requirement lists.
  2. Sponsor Branding Deployment:
    • Initiated site visits and layout mapping to finalize branding placements (banners, booths, stages, and experiential zones).
    • Coordinated production of co-branded signage and promotional materials.
  3. Digital Activation Coordination:
    • Launched “Sponsor Spotlight” digital campaign across SayPro’s social media and email channels to preview sponsor activations.
    • Secured sponsor-led content for pre-festival hype (videos, competitions, giveaways).
  4. Permits & Compliance Checks:
    • Obtained all necessary local municipal permits for sponsor installations and ensured alignment with festival health, safety, and crowd management protocols.
  5. Sponsorship Staff Training:
    • Provided operational and branding training for festival volunteers and staff working in sponsor areas to ensure professional delivery and accurate sponsor representation.
  6. On-Site Infrastructure Preparation:
    • Began construction of dedicated sponsor zones including VIP lounges, activation booths, tasting stations, and tech demo pods.
    • Ensured power, internet, and signage logistics are tailored to sponsor requirements.
  7. Engagement Metrics Design:
    • Finalized the post-activation survey format to assess sponsor satisfaction and audience response, scheduled to launch immediately post-event.
