Objective:
To enhance civic engagement and public understanding of key policy issues and community needs through focused, theme-based monthly awareness campaigns. This is part of SayPro’s broader mission to foster sustainable community development, empower citizens, and support inclusive policy dialogue.
Role and Responsibilities of the SayPro Public Awareness Campaign Coordinator:
- Theme Selection and Alignment:
- Select a relevant monthly awareness topic that reflects current socio-economic, cultural, or environmental issues.
- Ensure the selected topic aligns with SayPro’s development priorities, such as:
- Youth empowerment
- Economic inclusion
- Health and wellness
- Gender equality
- Local governance and policy literacy
- Climate change and environmental awareness
- Strategic Planning:
- Coordinate with the SayPro Community Development Office to structure campaign activities.
- Liaise with other internal SayPro departments and external partners (NGOs, government bodies, media) for campaign support.
- Campaign Implementation:
- Roll out a day-long awareness campaign on May 7, 2025, involving:
- Community outreach and workshops
- Digital media campaigns (social media, newsletters, WhatsApp groups)
- Educational materials (flyers, posters, brief reports)
- Public dialogues or panel discussions
