SayPro Facilitates Youth Mobilization Session for 6 Young People in Partnership with Gauteng Department of Social Development

On 19 March 2025, SayPro, in collaboration with the Gauteng Department of Social Development, successfully conducted a Youth Mobilization programme aimed at engaging and empowering young individuals to take active roles in their communities and personal development. A total of 6 youth participants took part in this impactful session.

The Youth Mobilization session focused on:

• Encouraging Active Citizenship and Leadership
• Promoting Volunteerism and Social Responsibility
• Raising Awareness on Youth Opportunities and Resources
• Empowering Youth to Address Community Challenges
• Building Self-Esteem and Motivation
• Guidance on Career and Educational Pathways

Facilitated by SayPro’s youth development team, the session used dynamic engagement methods such as open dialogues, motivational talks, group activities, and scenario planning to inspire young people to become proactive agents of change in their communities.

This initiative supports SayPro’s mission to equip youth with the tools, confidence, and networks needed to create positive social impact. By partnering with the Gauteng Department of Social Development, SayPro ensures alignment with provincial youth development goals, particularly in promoting youth participation, skill development, and leadership.

Participants expressed enthusiasm and commitment to applying what they learned, with many pledging to get involved in local initiatives and community projects. Each participant received a participation certificate and access to ongoing support and resources through SayPro’s youth programmes.

SayPro remains committed to youth empowerment and looks forward to future collaborations with the Gauteng Department of Social Development to reach and mobilize more young people across the province.
