Purpose of the Role

The SayPro Project Design Facilitator plays a vital role in ensuring that SayPro development projects are rooted in community realities and priorities. This role is responsible for leading the collection of community data through SayPro’s structured consultation forms, which serve as the foundation for evidence-based project design.


Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Community Consultations

  • Organize and facilitate community meetings, focus group discussions, and interviews to gather local perspectives on needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ensure inclusive participation, especially of vulnerable or marginalized groups (e.g., women, youth, people with disabilities).

2. Administer SayPro Digital Consultation Forms

  • Use the official SayPro Community Consultation Form (digital or paper-based) to record structured community input.
  • Collect information on local challenges, proposed solutions, priority areas, and stakeholder views.
  • Capture supporting data such as participant demographics, GPS-tagged locations, and consultation dates.

3. Ensure Data Quality and Accuracy

  • Validate that consultation data is complete, objective, and accurately reflects community feedback.
  • Follow data protection and ethical guidelines in handling sensitive or personal information.

4. Upload and Submit Data

  • Upload completed forms to the SayPro Digital Portal within set timeframes.
  • Label submissions appropriately by region, project theme, and priority level for centralized review.

5. Coordinate with Program Teams

  • Work with SayPro program staff and thematic specialists to ensure that collected data directly informs project problem statements, objective setting, and activity planning.

6. Report and Reflect

  • Submit brief field reports summarizing consultation processes, challenges encountered, and recommendations.
  • Participate in internal debriefs or feedback sessions to improve consultation methods and tools.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills (multilingual capacity an advantage)

  • Competence in using mobile data collection tools or tablets
