SayPro Outreach Strategy: Engage at Least 100 Creche/ECD Centres in Informal Settlements and Backyard Areas

Objective:
To engage and support a minimum of 100 Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres operating in informal settlements and backyard areas. This outreach initiative will aim to improve access to high-quality resources, training, and partnerships, while enhancing the quality of early childhood education in resource-poor settings.


1. Target Audience

The target audience for this outreach includes:

  • Informal Settlements: ECD centres that operate in areas with limited resources and access to formal early childhood education.
  • Backyard Areas: Small-scale ECD centres operating in private homes or informal spaces with the goal of providing early education to children in underserved communities.
  • Local Community Leaders and Stakeholders: Engaging local leaders, community groups, and organizations that can help connect SayPro with potential centres and enhance community buy-in.

2. Outreach Methods

To successfully engage 100 ECD centres, the following methods will be employed:

a. Community Engagement

  • Partner with local community leaders and organizations to identify ECD centres in informal settlements and backyard areas.
  • Host community meetings and information sessions to raise awareness about the SayPro program and the benefits of participation.
  • Leverage local networks and word-of-mouth to build trust and encourage participation from community-based ECD centres.

b. Digital Outreach

  • Create a dedicated outreach page on the SayPro website with all program details, eligibility criteria, and registration instructions.
  • Utilize social media platforms (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.) to share information about the program and invite ECD centres to join.

c. Phone Calls and Text Messaging

  • Reach out directly to ECD centres through phone calls or SMS, providing them with a direct point of contact to assist with any questions or concerns they may have.
