As part of SayProโs commitment to continuous growth and innovation, each SayPro Coordination and Development Review (SCDR) Meeting includes a dedicated section for presenting and discussing proposals for improvement and strategic changes. This ensures the organization remains agile, responsive to community needs, and aligned with long-term development goals.
Purpose
To create space for structured, forward-thinking dialogue on how SayPro can:
- Improve its existing programs and operations
- Respond to emerging challenges or opportunities
- Introduce new strategic directions, policies, or partnerships
Types of Proposals Discussed
- Programmatic Enhancements
Suggestions to refine, expand, or redesign current projects based on data, feedback, or field realities. - Operational Improvements
Ideas to strengthen internal systems, processes, or workflows (e.g., improving reporting procedures, adopting new technology, restructuring team roles). - Strategic Shifts
Proposals related to broader changes such as:- New partnerships or funding streams
- Entry into new geographic areas

- Thematic focus shifts in SayPro’s social, cultural, developmental, or recreational work

Proposal Submission and Presentation Process

Teams are encouraged to submit their proposals ahead of the meeting for inclusion in the agenda. - During the Meeting
- Each proposal is presented briefly (5โ10 minutes).
- Presenters should outline:
- The current challenge or opportunity
- The proposed change
- Expected benefits or outcomes
- Resource implications (if any)
- Supporting data, community feedback, or benchmarking can be shared to justify the proposal.
- Open Discussion
- The floor is opened for feedback, questions, or recommendations from other stakeholders.
- Notes and concerns are documented for refinement.

- Depending on the proposal’s complexity, it may:
- Be approved and assigned for implementation
- Require further development or piloting
- Be escalated to senior leadership for formal review

All proposals, whether approved or under review, should be:
- Summarized in the meeting minutes
- Included in the Action Tracker if follow-up is required
