Position Overview:
Employees in the SayPro Fundraising, Sponsorships, Donations, and Crowdfunding Office will play a critical role in promoting and executing events aimed at raising funds, securing sponsorships, and engaging donors. This role involves working across various marketing channels and communication strategies to create buzz, attract attendees, and secure financial contributions for SayProโs events.
The Event Promotions Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive event promotion campaigns, utilizing digital marketing tools, social media platforms, email communications, partnerships, and influencer collaborations to generate excitement and increase participation. They will also work closely with the fundraising team to ensure that the event objectives align with broader organizational goals and funding targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Campaign Strategy Development: Develop and execute detailed event promotion plans designed to maximize visibility and engagement. This includes identifying the best combination of marketing channels (email, social media, influencer marketing, direct outreach, etc.) to promote each event.
- Target Audience Research: Conduct research to identify and understand target audience segments, ensuring promotional content and messages are tailored to the interests and needs of specific groups (donors, volunteers, sponsors, etc.).
- Content Creation and Curation: Collaborate with the content team to create engaging promotional materials such as email campaigns, social media posts, flyers, press releases, and event listings. Ensure all content aligns with SayProโs brand guidelines and fundraising objectives.
- Campaign Scheduling and Coordination: Plan and oversee the scheduling of promotional campaigns, ensuring that all materials are distributed timely and consistently across all channels.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Track and analyze event promotion metrics (e.g., email open rates, click-through rates, social media engagement, registration numbers) and adjust strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.
2. Marketing and Outreach:
- Social Media Management: Oversee the social media presence for each event, creating posts, advertisements, and stories that drive engagement and registrations. Monitor interactions, respond to inquiries, and foster online community involvement.
- Influencer and Partner Collaborations: Establish and manage relationships with influencers, community leaders, and strategic partners to promote events and encourage wider participation. This may include negotiating sponsorships, co-branded content, and guest speaker appearances.
