SayPro Participants – Guidelines and Requirements
The SayPro Development Quarterly Cultural Dance Competition is a celebration of cultural expression through dance, aimed at fostering unity, appreciation of diversity, and artistic excellence within our community. Participants are invited to showcase traditional and heritage-based dance performances that reflect the richness of their cultural backgrounds.
Eligibility
Participation is open to:
SayPro Employees
External Participants (including community members, local cultural groups, or invited guests)
Both individuals and groups are welcome to participate, provided they meet all registration and submission criteria.
Performance Criteria
All dance routines must:
Represent a Cultural Tradition or Heritage: Participants are encouraged to select a dance that authentically showcases their personal or ancestral culture. This can include traditional folk dances, ceremonial performances, or modern interpretations of cultural themes.
Be Original or Faithfully Reproduced: Choreography may be original as long as it respectfully represents the cultural theme, or it may follow traditional steps and structures.

Deadline: All registrations must be completed by the closing date listed in the official SayPro competition guidelines (typically communicated via internal memo or SayPro’s official communication channels).
How to Register: Complete the official registration form (provided through SayPro admin or on the SayPro portal) and submit it to the Cultural Development Office.
Submission Guidelines
Each entry must adhere to the following:
1. Performance Duration:
Maximum performance time: 5 minutes
Minimum performance time: 2 minutes
2. Technical Requirements:
Participants must submit any music files or audio tracks in advance in MP3 or WAV format.
Notify organizers of technical or lighting needs during registration.
Performances will be staged at Venue: SCDR-3-43 with available basic lighting and sound system.
Any props or costumes must be self-provided and comply with safety regulations.
3. Cultural Context Description:
Each submission must include a brief written description (150–200 words) outlining the cultural significance of the dance. This will be used during the event for introductions and to educate the audience.
