SayPro Impact Metrics:

Goal:
The primary aim of the SayPro wildlife tracking camp is to enhance participants’ skills in wildlife tracking and animal behavior analysis. Specifically, we aim for 90% of participants to report an increase in their confidence in these areas following the completion of the camp.

Detailed Impact Metrics:

1. Confidence in Wildlife Tracking and Understanding Animal Behavior:
– Goal: 90% of participants should report increased confidence in their ability to track wildlife and understand animal behavior after attending the camp.
– Measurement:
– Pre- and post-camp surveys will be distributed to participants to assess their self-perceived confidence in wildlife tracking and understanding animal behavior.
– Surveys will use a Likert scale (1-5), with questions addressing confidence in specific areas, such as:
– Identifying animal tracks and signs
– Interpreting animal behavior and movements
– Understanding ecosystems and animal habitats
– A score increase of at least one point on the scale from pre-camp to post-camp will be considered as a significant improvement in confidence.
– The percentage of participants who report an increase of one or more points will be tracked to determine if the 90% target is met.

2. Participant Feedback for Satisfaction and Future Improvements:
– Goal: Collect participant feedback to measure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement to optimize future camps.
– Measurement:
– Satisfaction Surveys: After the camp, participants will fill out a detailed feedback form covering aspects of the camp, such as:
– Content: Relevance and clarity of the information presented on wildlife tracking and animal behavior.
– Instructors: Knowledgeability, communication, and teaching effectiveness of camp instructors.
– Activities: The variety and hands-on nature of tracking exercises, field sessions, and other camp activities.
– Facilities: Comfort, accessibility, and usefulness of the facilities used during the camp.
– Overall Experience: A general rating of their camp experience, with an option for open-ended feedback.
– Net Promoter Score (NPS): A question will be included to assess the likelihood of participants recommending the camp to others. This can gauge overall satisfaction and the quality of the camp.
– Open-ended Questions: Participants will be asked what they found most valuable about the camp, what could be improved, and what additional topics or activities they would like to see in future camps.
– Feedback results will be analyzed to calculate an overall satisfaction score and identify common areas of improvement. A goal of receiving an average satisfaction rating of at least 4.5/5 will be set.

3. Continuous Improvement Metrics:
– Based on the feedback collected, a recommendation report will be developed outlining key improvements for future camps. These may include:
– Adjusting the structure of sessions to better engage participants.
– Modifying content based on areas where participants felt less confident or knowledgeable.
– Addressing logistical issues such as transportation, accommodation, or facilities.
– The effectiveness of the implemented changes will be tracked in future camps, with the same satisfaction and confidence metrics used to assess progress.

Tracking & Reporting:
– Data Collection: Surveys, feedback forms, and satisfaction ratings will be collected digitally or in paper format at the conclusion of each camp.
– Tracking Tools: Use of a database or specialized tracking tool to compile responses, categorize feedback, and analyze trends.
– Reporting: A summary of the metrics, including participant confidence levels and satisfaction scores, will be compiled and shared with stakeholders after the camp. The report will also include recommendations for future improvements and the progress made towards meeting the 90% confidence increase target.

By focusing on these specific metrics, SayPro will be able to track the effectiveness of the camp in boosting participants’ confidence and understanding of wildlife tracking and animal behavior, as well as continue to improve the quality of the program for future cohorts
