Program Name: Urban HerRise
Mission Statement: Empowering young urban women to achieve economic independence, advocate for their rights, and contribute to building equitable and sustainable communities.

 Strategic Objectives  
  1. Economic Empowerment: Equip young women with the skills and resources to access decent work, start businesses, and achieve financial independence.
  2. Advocacy and Rights Awareness: Educate young women about their rights, promote gender equality, and empower them to advocate for policies that address gender-based challenges in urban areas.
  3. Health and Wellbeing: Enhance access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and promote mental and physical wellbeing.
  4. Leadership and Civic Engagement: Build leadership capacity to enable young women to influence decision-making processes in their communities and beyond.
  5. Safe Spaces and Networking: Create safe and inclusive platforms where young women can connect, learn, and grow together. Core Components
  6. Capacity-Building Workshops: Hands-on training in vocational skills, financial literacy, advocacy, and leadership.
  7. Health and Wellness Programs: Awareness campaigns on SRH rights, mental health, and access to urban health services.
  8. Advocacy Campaigns: Partner with civil society organizations to push for policies promoting gender equality and access to decent work for women.

    February Gender Rights & Advocacy Workshop Educate participants about women’s rights, urban laws, and advocacy tools for change.
    March International Women’s Day Campaign Organize a public march, panel discussions, and awareness programs around women’s issues.
    April Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Training Training on small business management, savings, and microfinance opportunities.
    May SRH Awareness Campaign Partner with health organizations to provide SRH education and services to participants.
    June Leadership and Public Speaking Workshop Build participants’ confidence to speak publicly and lead advocacy initiatives.
    July Urban Safety and Gender-Based Violence Workshop Address urban safety challenges, teach self-defense skills, and connect participants to support networks.
    August Vocational Skills Training Practical training in trades such as tailoring, baking, digital marketing, or coding.
