📘 Overview

The SayPro Education Specialist (Planned Giving – SCMR-2) plays a critical role in developing, managing, and delivering educational content, programs, and engagement strategies that inform potential and existing donors about planned giving options. This position supports SayPro’s broader mission of fostering sustainable, ethical, and impactful giving by integrating donor education into its digital platforms and outreach campaigns.

The role focuses on SayPro Monthly SCMR-2 Donor Education initiatives, with particular attention to wills, charitable trusts, estate planning, life insurance contributions, and other legacy-giving strategies. The Education Specialist will ensure that all planned giving resources reflect SayPro’s values of transparency, empowerment, dignity, and innovation.

• To create and manage educational tools that encourage long-term, values-aligned donor partnerships.
• To work collaboratively with SayPro’s fundraising, marketing, digital, and legal teams to ensure content quality and compliance.

🧰 Key Responsibilities

1. Donor Education Content Development

• Design and produce comprehensive educational resources on planned giving (PDF guides, explainer videos, webinars, checklists).
• Translate complex legal and financial giving structures into simple, donor-friendly language.
• Work with graphic designers to ensure visually appealing and brand-aligned content.
• Create donor education modules for SayPro’s Learning Hub and donor portal.

2. Digital Engagement & Learning

• Upload, update, and manage all planned giving materials on https://saypro.online.
• Build and manage automated donor education email sequences using SayPro-approved systems.
• Support the development of AI-powered FAQ tools and smart chat integrations related to planned giving.
• Track user engagement and adapt content based on analytics and donor feedback.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Liaise with SayPro’s legal, finance, and compliance teams to verify accuracy and legality of all giving content.
• Coordinate with the SayPro Donor Relations team to personalize content delivery based on donor history and interests.
• Engage with external experts (e.g., estate lawyers, accountants) for input on specialized topics.
• Support fundraising officers during major donor engagements with tailored educational support.

4. Training and Capacity Building

• Provide internal training sessions to SayPro team members and fundraising officers on planned giving strategies and tools.
• Develop toolkits and talking points for donor-facing staff.
• Lead “train-the-trainer” workshops to scale planned giving education across SayPro chapters.

5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Establish KPIs for all educational efforts (e.g., content views, downloads, webinar attendance).
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate the impact of educational interventions on donor behavior.
• Produce monthly and quarterly reports for SCMR and leadership teams.
• Recommend adjustments to improve education outcomes and engagement strategies.

📚 Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Philanthropy, Marketing, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Education, or a related field.
• Advanced degree or certification in Estate Planning, Fundraising, or Digital Education is an added advantage.

Experience:

• 3–5 years in nonprofit fundraising, donor communications, planned giving, or donor education.
• Demonstrated experience creating donor-focused educational materials and campaigns.
• Experience working within a digital platform environment (e.g., CRMs, LMS, CMS).

Skills and Competencies:

• Deep understanding of planned giving strategies and ethical donor engagement.
• Strong writing, editing, and public speaking abilities.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Digital literacy and proficiency with donor education platforms, Mailchimp, Canva, Google Workspace, or equivalent.
• Ability to explain complex financial or legal concepts in accessible language.
• Cultural sensitivity and commitment to inclusive, dignified storytelling.

💼 Reporting and Supervision

• Reports to the SayPro Fundraising Manager (SCMR-2) and receives strategic guidance from the SayPro Marketing Royalty Director.
• May supervise interns, junior content writers, or multimedia assistants as needed.
